How do I know if my child has dyslexia?
If you're wondering how to identify dyslexia in children, you're not alone. Dyslexia is a common learning difficulty that affects reading, writing, and spelling skills. It’s not linked to intelligence. If dyslexia runs in the family or your child has other neurodiversities then they have an increased chance of having dyslexia.

What does a dyslexia assessment involve?
A full, diagnostic dyslexia assessment will involve assessing different areas including reading, spelling, language and phonological skills. Questionnaires which can be sent to schools, young people and families will provide some evidence of difficulties associated with dyslexia.
How long will the assessment take?
Dyslexia assessments can vary in length, but on average they take between 2 and 3 hours.

What age can a dyslexia assessment take place from?
I assess any individual from age 8 to 17.
