Full Diagnostic Assessments

A full diagnostic dyslexia assessment is a comprehensive evaluation designed to identify whether an individual has dyslexia and to understand their unique learning profile. This assessment is essential for accessing appropriate dyslexia support services, educational accommodations, and tailored interventions.

 

Whether you're seeking answers for a child, teenager, or adult, my in-depth evaluation offers clarity, support, and a path forward.  All reports will come with full bespoke recommendations on how to support your child both at home and in school.

 Included in the assessment:

​

  • Background Review

    • Developmental, educational, and medical history

    • Parent/teacher/individual observations and concerns

  • Cognitive Testing

    • Measures verbal reasoning, visual-spatial skills, working memory, and processing speed

    • Conducted by a qualified educational psychologist or specialist dyslexia assessor

  • Literacy Skills Assessment

    • Evaluates reading accuracy, fluency, comprehension, spelling, and writing

    • Includes phonological awareness and decoding skills

  • Academic Attainment Testing

    • Assesses current performance in reading, writing, and sometimes maths

    • Highlights gaps between potential and achievement

  • Diagnostic Analysis

    • Integrates all findings to determine if dyslexia diagnosis is appropriate

    •  Recommendations for onward referrals may be given and/or discussed

  • Detailed Written Report

    • Includes diagnosis, cognitive profile, and personalised recommendations

    • Suitable for schools, universities, and workplace accommodations (depending on the age of the individual)​

Pricing:

  • Full diagnostic assessment: £525

  • Non-refundable deposit: £100 required to confirm your assessment date, and payable within 7 days of a date being offered

  • Remaining balance: due 7 days before the assessment

 

Location:

  • Assessments are conducted in person in Clevedon, North Somerset

  • With prior agreement, I can travel to areas outside of North Somerset to conduct an assessment, additional costs may apply and access to WiFi would be required
